Origin: Developed in Saxony and Thuringia.
Overall Impression: Strong, Iow standing field
pigeon type; well developed muffs, plain headed.
Breed Characteristics:
Head:
Field pigeon type, forehead rounded, plain headed.
Eyes: Dark, eye cere light to reddish.
Beak: Long, flesh colored reds and yellows;
upper beak black on blues and blacks, lower beak flesh
colored.
Neck:
Medium in length, very full at the shoulders; throat
well curved (no gullet)
Breast:
Broad, low, well rounded.
Back: Long, wide, slightly sloping.
Wings: Somewhat long and wide.
Tail:
Long and well closed.

Feet and Legs: Long and well muffed even to the
hock feathers; low standing.
Feathering: Well developed yet not loose.
Colors: Black, blue, red, and yellow.
Color and Markings: The blacks, reds, and
yellows pure and very lustrous. Blues light even, with a
black tail bar; white outer edge of the outside tail
feathers is permitted. Colored areas include the spot,
neck, breast, back, shoulder (heart), tail, rump, and
wedge under tail; spot not to extend to the eye cere.
Breast cut to be as deep as possible, shoulder heart to
be symmetrical. The head, wings belly, hocks, and muffs
white.
