MAJOR FAULTS:

Weak, short body.

Red eye color too light.
Uneven, too dark or bluish ground color.
Too short or dull bars.
Visible evidence of a third bar.

Tail
: Long, closed.

Legs and Feet: Muffs thick and as long as possible, low standing.

Tail (5 pts.): Carried in line with back. Length to be in proportion to size. Wedge shape of Giant Rumbler to govern width. Tail should be 1½ to 2 feathers wide, not a whip tail. Standing in a natural position the tail should be carried just above floor. If tail held more than two inches high (5 cm.) it is a disqualification. However, the judge must allow the Giant Rumbler a period of time to settle down as many Giant Rumblers will drop the tail to the proper position after they settle down.

Feathering: Well developed, close fitting.

Colors: Yellow and red (called "braun" in Germany).

Colors and Markings: The ground color of the outer feather an ivory color, under color weakly pigmented. Red or yellow as intense as possible on the lower neck marking and wing bars. The lower neck marking is a half moon shape. Approximately 3 centimeters (1 1/6 inch) in width at the center and about twice as long, sharp, well defined crescent marking, without breaks, ending at both sides in a point, without running into the back of the neck. Bars continuous, running parallel to each other and not too wide. Weak pigmentation on the underside of the tail feathers and on the inner veins of the flight feathers is permitted.

ORDER OF EVALUATION: Overall impression – body strength – ground color – crescent and bar shape and color – muffs – eye and beak color.
